Andrea Close joined the Media Manoeuvres team in August 2010. Andrea is a dynamic media professional with nearly 20 years experience in radio and television journalism, presentation and company (brand) representation. Combined with her adult education training, she has found a winning formula as a Media Manoeuvres Executive Trainer.
Andrea began her career as a commercial radio copywriter, quickly moving to an on-air position and has 10 years metropolitan commercial radio news and presentation experience. She then spent several years with ABC Radio where her exceptional communication skills saw her listening audience grow by 20% and her programme reach number 1 in several consecutive ratings. Andrea’s ability to spot a great story and tailor messages to her target audience are skills she loves to share.
Andrea also spent 8 years in Canberra commercial television as weekend Chief of Staff, reporter and news presenter and has hosted dozens of events including Carols by Candlelight and the Parliament House 20th Anniversary celebrations. She was a key venue presenter at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
Andrea also teaches Media Industries Studies through the VET system.
